I’m pretty realistic about the splash my little blog will have on the world, but for those who do find it I hope to invite them to join me at a horse that fits their needs because that’s where my real passion lies.
At the retreats we eat great food, learn about horses, dive deep into their psychology and emotions, and learn more about ourselves by doing so. We also PLAY and have fun, by doing things like taking a group trip to the Leavenworth Adventure Park to ride the Alpine Coaster.
After years of “hustle” culture and then hustling to juggle becoming an instant full-time stepmom to 3 and biomom to my son plus trying to work full-time I quite honestly became desperate to reconnect with who I am and what my original goals are in life. I love horses and I love teaching people about them in a way that allows them to truly “meet” the horse and not just use them for a ride and be done with it. They really are wonderfully interesting and opinionated if you ask them!
Although I have always worked in the field of equine therapies and psychoeducational programing, this blog/business is a first step in building a career that is uniquely what I have been dreaming of. It will start with retreats that follow a curriculum I have designed based on years of research and new advances in the field of wellbeing and human-animal interactions (yes, there’s a whole field of research dedicated to it!), and once I’ve completed my License in Clinical Mental Health, I will also ad in my private practice for equine assisted mental health therapy.
If you are interested in learning more, please check out the rest of my website! http://www.equineinteractionretreats.com If there is not a retreat that works for you, please subscribe to get updates on next year’s events or reach out via email to let me know what kind of retreat you are interested in! I’m happy to put together individual or couples workshops, parent-child or family sessions and corporate opportunities! My email is equineinteractionretreats@gmail.com
